ABOUT JILL

I am a qualified and experienced Psychotherapist and Counsellor with Advanced Diploma practitioner training in Humanistic Integrative therapy (accredited by the BACP). I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I did my clinical training at Newham Action Against Domestic Violence for child and adult survivors, GMI partnership (Positive East) for the LGBTQ community, and Mind for Tower Hamlets and Newham. As a qualified counsellor, I have worked at the NSPCC providing safeguarding assessment for vulnerable children and young people.

Aside from maintaining private practice in Sydenham, South London, I am currently employed at Off the Record Counselling Service, a Croydon-based counselling service.

Prior to my counselling and psychotherapy training, I worked extensively for over 13 years as a Practitioner and Manager in a range of statutory and voluntary-sector education, youth, community and child protection agencies. I have a Masters in Critical Theory (sociology, literary and philosophy critique) and qualified as a Community Artist to degree level. I use my learning in both these areas to offer a uniquely challenging and reflective approach to the therapy.
